The online option is the favorite of most people because it is extremely convenient, affordable and effective. Learning on the Net is easy as you do not have to travel to and from any facility, you can work at your residence or workplace PC to download the required materials to complete the interactive chapters. You'll find that Internet classes are less expensive, because they are being accessed by people around the world and don't have to cost what private lessons or going to school to learn French will cost. Another reason being educated on the internet works well is that you have access to the same materials and information as you would from a traditional class setting, while having the added benefit of being able to use the material at any time and go through the course at a pace more comfortable to you.

An alternative way to learn how to speak French is by listening to it when it's being spoken. If you have someone with whom you can converse on a regular basis, then you will find that you can expand your French vocabulary exponentially and learn to use these words in the right context effortlessly. When learning the French language it is imperative that you listen not to a slang or dialect but to literary French. To hear a constant stream of French, watch French news channels, movies in French, soap operas, etc. You need to make it a point to hear French for at least eight hours or more per day. As you hear the words, try in your mind to pronounce them the same way and use the newly learned words.

In order to speak fluent French, you must have a general knowledge of the vocabulary, understand the grammar, and be able to do verb conjugation. You can achieve this via reading and study. Read just about anything you can find written in French, including books, magazines, and newspapers, and try not to become discouraged with your initial progress, even if it seems like it takes half a day to understand one paragraph. Over time, your facility with written French will get better, and this will enable you to read an increasing number of French books, which in turn will further strengthen your ability to understand the language.
