Sub Standard Web Hosting - The Consequences

Once again the consequences of cheap, poor quality hosting, are felt by both users and webmasters as a whole raft of traffic exchanges go offline and stay offline for two days and counting.

I feel for the owners of several exchanges who will be losing business and goodwill as each hour of downtime passes. The inconvenience suffered by users is also acute and many hits and hours of surfing will have gone to waste particularly for those not organized enough to have paused all the sites affected in the other exchanges, thus wasting thousands of displays with "unable to connect" messages.

I am not sure who hosts all of these sites, but if there is any justice they too will lose a lot of business over this extended outage. All webmasters appreciate that technical difficulties are unavoidable, but over 48 hours demonstrates a very poor response rate and limited technical know how on behalf of the hosting company.

Hosting is more than a fancy website and grand claims - when you choose a hosting company for your online business, if you don't want to suffer a similar fate, be sure to choose your hosting company wisely. Bargain basement often means that's where your business will be left when it comes to the crunch.

Footer Ads Free Website Advertising

Just launched to the internet user at large, another free advertising option for webmasters, Footer-Ads is free to use and involves adding a snippet of code to any webpage where you decide to display the ads.

The deal is, that you will earn credits for each time you display a block of ads on your site, which will be converted into ad views on other pages within the network. The ads can be run alongside Google Adsense and their appearance is customizable to suit your website. It is free to sign up for Footer-Ads at present, although there are hints that it won't always remain so and signing up will see you added to another list, and offered a package of promotional items for a reduced fee. However, for another free advertising method it could be worth a look.

You can find out all about Free Footer-Ads here.

Next up we have a free download for you. Traffic Blaster Pro is another viral traffic generation e-book and includes an upgrade option which allows for rebranding should you so wish. You can download your free copy of Traffic Blaster Pro here.

(If you would like to offer the book as a download on your own site but are still unsure about how to do this, you can find a very good article about making e-books available for download at The E-Books Times Article Archive)

As we are currently in the free stuff mode, Clickbank users may also be interested in another viral Clickbank product which goes by the name of CB-Clicks. After signup, add a snippet of code where you wish to display Clickbank ads and help spread your own Clickbank links across the web when other users sign up in the program. I've included some CB-Clicks ads in the right sidebar of this blog so you can see how they look. You can customize the colors and format to suit your site, we'll report back later on our success rates or otherwise. If you'd like to join up for free CB-Clicks Signup Here

Two New Traffic Exchanges

You can stop sniggering at the back - yes, we are talking about traffic  exchanges again.

This is a very short post to look at two new traffic exchanges that look set to do well. That may sound like a hopeful claim as there are already several tens of thousands of them operating already, but these do offer reasonably good income and traffic potential.

If traffic exchanges are your thing and want to be one of the early members with potential for lots of traffic and maybe a bit of money further down the line, sign up and promote and you could have hundreds in your downlines.

Show-N-Find is offering Founder Pro memberships free to the first 1000 people to join. That gives you great benefits for which any other members will have to pay. Go and check out the features and sign up before all positions are gone.

Not quite as new but still worth getting on board with is TrafficPros.us - if you like the idea of one cent per click get in quickly, because if they stick with this pay plan, thousands of people could well soon be signing up once the word gets out.

Look out for an upcoming post on what not to do with traffic exchanges in the near future.

The Google Cash Detective

Having finally succumbed to the curiosity this has been generating, we have to say that on an initial look around it actually is genuinely impressive. If you are an affiliate marketer using adwords campaigns, we highly recommend you take a look.

Don't worry about the Mexican beach scenes and overly long video - to get to the meat of what Google Cash Detective is all about you will have to give up your email address, but it is worth doing even if only to get a look at how this technology works. We recommend you skip all the fluffy YouTube nonsense and just look at the program.

If you don't already spend money on pay per click advertising, this could well change your mind, and it would certainly seem entirely possible that it will have an absolutely amazing effect on the profitability of any affiliate program you are a part of.
I've deliberately avoided using the hyped up ads you may have seen already because I think the program warrants a serious look and looks entirely capable of actually delivering what it promises.

Check Out Google Cash Detective Here

If having seen the presentation, you're still not convinced of Chris Carpenter's qualifications, he is the author of Google Cash, one of the most successful and influential books on Google Adwords ever written. Google Cash is one e-book that we have no hesitation in recommending as it gives a genuine blueprint on how to earn money with affiliate programs and Google Adwords campaigns. Without doubt one of the most informative guides to making money online ever produced.

Best Value Web Hosting - Kiosk.ws

There are literally thousands of web hosting deals around today and plenty of advice on which are the best. What it really boils down to is which hosting deal is best for YOU.

We have been following the fortunes of various hosting companies over the years and our website tries to give a selection of companies who we believe offer service and value to customers. There are plenty of hosting directories out there, but the problem is that they can be so overwhelming, such is the huge number of companies reviewed. It is for this reason we have kept ours small, hopefully making it simpler for people to make an informed choice - The Cayman Host Directory can be found here.

As a reader of this blog you are probably active in marketing online, in one form or another, and may well already have a hosting deal with which you are happy. If you are looking to move, or are wondering just where to start, we recommend taking a look at what Kiosk has to offer. Marketers have long been a target market for Kiosk and as a result, their packages are geared towards those of us who need specialist services - and their services are probably the best you will find.

Since relaunching their corporate website last month, visitors can now physically 'use' all of the marketing aids and hosting features right from the site and see exactly what they will be getting with their hosting deal. I'm not certain that any other host offers such a candid look behind all the gilded promises and can highly recommend a tour of the Kiosk.ws web hosting demo page.

You will note that there is currently a $1 trial offer - there is no catch here either, you can use all of the Titanium Plan's hosting services for a full month, with no obligation. If you don't like it, you simply cancel after the month is up.

In our time with Kiosk, we have never been more than 100% satisfied with their service and support, and the ease of use (C-Panel and Fantastico for managing everything) which genuinely is 24/7 and accessed through live hot conference technology - no phone charges wherever you are in the world. The testimonials on the site speak volumes about the service and the sense of community fostered among fellow webmasters makes for an even better user experience.

Still the recommended web hosting service of choice - Kiosk.ws Web Hosting

Google Adsense Alternatives

With all the hype surrounding Adsense these days you could be forgiven for thinking that it is just about the only way to monetize your blog or website, when, in actual fact there are plenty of alternatives available to both advertisers and publishers. It has become progressively harder to earn money with Adsense, and, it would seem, set to get even more difficult in light of the latest clampdowns on cheaters. I'm all for shutting down the people who dishonestly waste advertiser's money by attempting to generate fraudulent and artificial clicks, but at the same time, sympathize with the little guys who inevitably get caught up in the witch hunt.

I always advocate keeping your options open when it comes to pay per click, and here are a couple of advertising options you may want to consider as alternatives, whether you are an advertiser or publisher. Sure, they are not as big as Google, but all have served me reasonably well as a publisher on various sites.

1) Bidvertiser  have been around for a while and offer pretty much the same look and feel as Google. I have been happy with the results from the company and they offer a good introductory deal to advertisers too.

2) Text Link Ads - Recently made several improvements to their service making it a lot more attractive to both advertisersand publishers. Well worth checking out and one to watch  for the future.

3) Pheedo  - Another choice for bloggers/webmasters and attractive if you are looking for simple ways to monetize your RSS Feeds. The only disappointing thing about Pheedo is that there is no referral or affiliate program as yet. Still recommended though, particularly for RSS.

4) ExoClick  - Not particularly well known and can throw up the occasional adult related ad, so if that's a problem for you they might not be  for you as a publisher. Having said that, worth a look and they do  operate a referral program too.

5) Kontera - Saving the best for last. Their terms mean that the service is pretty much restricted to high traffic sites - however, they do make exceptions so applying and putting your case forward is well worth it. Their ad format enhances a site without being too intrusive and generates far better click through ratios than traditional static advertising. A definite thumbs up for a very innovative contextual ad solution, despite no referral bonuses.

For some, an even more attractive alternative may be something like CBProads. This is not a PPC model but a pay per sale deal and if you have the traffic you can potentially make money faster than with PPC ads. The ads are contextual and can be customized to fit your pages. They link to the huge database of Clickbank products and even if you have a niche specific site you can target relevant ads from within the the members area and offer products your readers might genuinely be interested in. It's free to sign up to CBProads and adding to your site is the usual simple addition of a line of code in the relevant place.

There are of course many others out there including Yahoo, we would love to hear from people about their experiences with any pay per click or Pay per sale solutions they have tried, so please leave your comments to help others out.

The Rich Jerk And Other News

Over at John Chow's blog there is a very interesting discussion going on about The Rich Jerk and the fact that the business would appear to be for sale, TRJ being not quite so rich after all. Is it all one big publicity stunt? Well, you can never tell with this guy but it's certainly provoking a lot of comment. Read more here The Rich Jerk for sale

More news on other business opportunities arrived in my inbox today and one in particular caught my eye regarding My World Plus.  Although I'm not warning people off of this site because it is not genuine, there is one thing potential opt-ins should know. Should you decide to leave your details and take the tour, the follow ups take the form of voice mail as opposed to email and some people are unhappy about receiving at least one call per day urging them to upgrade. It is worth noting that My World Plus uses a powerline system - this means that after signing up you are repeatedly advised that others who joined below you have upgraded and it is impressed upon you continuously thereafter that if you don't upgrade yourself you will lose out. It's not a tactic I like myself but all I'm saying is "be prepared" if you decide to take the free tour. You will be subjected to powerline pressure tactics.

And so to Adsense, and in particular Adsense arbitrage sites. It appears that Google have decided enough is enough with Adwords campaigns designed only to send traffic to poor quality sites set up purely for Adsense revenue gathering. Read the full story at the Jensense blog. I have said before on these pages that publishers should not keep all their eggs in one basket  and although this only seems to be  affecting publishers who are earning several thousand dollars monthly from their arbitrage sites, it is a fair warning to everyone playing the game.

And so to "Mad Guru Disease", are you one of many infected by this insidious plague? If you're worried about it, you might want to read the latest diagnosis over at Click Newz

Making Big Money Online - Another Expert Speaks Out

Let me tell you a little story. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin....

I often fill my idle time surfing one or two of the better traffic exchanges. Sure it may be a waste of time to some, but it's always interesting to see what  they throw up and has the beneficial sideline of a bit of free advertising, so I never discount them completely. Today, I saw the usual raft of dreamers, pushing garish graphics, outlandish claims and a few irritating videos promising to make me a millionaire by the weekend if I'd only give them my email address blah blah blah.....

However, I digress. I was visiting an interesting blog and viewing some of the comments when I came across a rather long spiel by one individual agreeing with the blog's author about not believing everything you read online. Before you know it he has launched into a completely blatant advertisement for his site and bragging about "I really do make money online every single day" and "you can have my phone number, so it must be true" etc etc etc. Now, aside from the very poor form of not even bothering to try and disguise your plug on someone else's blog as a genuine comment, his narrative was peppered with more typos/spelling errors than you could shake a stick at. Very professional, but it worked because I wanted to see more......

Now, here's the thing. The individual in question was expertly advising anyone who was considering joining a program, to do a search on their upline member's names before committing to anything. Fair enough I suppose, not that it's likely to tell you much nine times out of ten, but he was at least attempting to sound like an expert. I think what he was really advocating was to check the program itself, but got lost in his comparisons with showing every online business to bank managers and being laughed out of the building. (Aside from his, naturally). I tell you, there was no pulling the wool over this fella's eyes, but then he really does make money online, every day no less, so let's listen to him eh?

I find my way to a website - it's nicely designed and has the now obligatory video embedded right at the start. Hmmm...sorry to say I didn't watch it but I did notice a long list of affiliate programs in the left margin and the majority were the name dropping kind. You know, some minor "celebrity" trying to foist some garbage or other on the unfortunate hopefuls. As I said I didn't watch the video and contrary to popular belief, not everybody wants to be assaulted by these nauseating sales pitches in technicolor and surround sound. Just because it's possible doesn't always make it desirable. But, once more I digress......let's see about this site shall we, just as our expert suggests.

Well, he has a hit counter which doesn't really fit in with the attempt at slickness. I mean, do we really care? I've never understood the desire for displaying your traffic,or in this case extreme lack of it, to visitors. So, not much traffic, barely a thousand hits. Good old Alexa gives us a page ranking well above  4 million and several hundred thousand.......even lower than this few week old blog.

Did I even think about signing up for what this guy was pushing.......? If you learn one thing in life about bragging, it should be that you can back it up with facts; meaning hard proof. I mean, I make money online too, but I wouldn't expect anyone to believe I was Donald Trump just because I say it's so. Anyone can make money online, but making a really good income is not the easy ride so many people will try to convince you of. As with all things, it is possible, but rarely easy.

I guess if so many people didn't line up to be fleeced, the con men would have no audience, but as they say, there really is one born every minute. Now here is my plug for the day.......Don't Miss This One!!!!

SEO Masterclass - A Secret SEO Strategy

How about that for a post title huh?

I apologize to those landing here in the hope of finding the key to millions of website visitors at the click of a button or some such drivel, but who knows, just maybe you'll thank me.

All I would like someone to explain to me is this - two visitors recently found their way to these pages, via Google, by searching for "furniture" and "Mercedes" respectively. I'm  guessing here but can only assume that by some strange quirk of fate, they got a hit from an affiliate product page, which could explain the luxury German car, but "furniture" still beats the hell out of me. This is worrying to a person like myself, who will probably spend periods of idle time at the beach or sitting in traffic, wondering if I am, in some Twilight Zone, living a double life as a furniture salesman, and that my subconscious takes me over at will, forcing me to sit at a keyboard doing keyword research for sofas and dining tables.

I suppose I run the risk of offending good natured furniture salesmen all over the world with that last paragraph, but all I'm saying is I've never tried to sell one stick of furniture to anyone, in my whole life, ever! That is, unless you include passing off a few cheap unwanted items to a secondhand store a while back. I know we see these skewed results all over the web, so please feel free to let us have your favorites.

For those who came looking for answers to your traffic woes, all I can tell you is,  join a very large club of millions - if your site is about furniture mind you, you might well want to link to me Wink

Affiliate Marketing , Marketing Scams And Words Of Warning

Today, whilst roaming through a couple of traffic exchanges, I came across a couple of places that I thought were worthy of mention and that I'm sure readers will find informative, a little amusing and perhaps, if you are new to the world of the internet fast buck, a little shocking Surprised

Whenever I come across little pearls of wisdom I like to do my part to spread the word and Phil Miranda's blog gives a reasonable indication of some of the sharks out there who seek to take you in. We've all been there, tempted by easy money and a quick route to success, but hopefully, sites like this will ensure you keep your feet planted firmly on the ground and save you from the mistakes of others. If you're sensitive about things like this, don't let the very mild profanity put you off - you can learn a lot from Phil's blog.

As an affiliate, it is not always easy to know what to promote online, and, after all, you are just trying to make a few dollars extra. I've certainly been guilty of blindly promoting a few howlers in my time, but fortunately never made a single sale on the vast majority of them, so I guess my conscience is as clear as any can be. That's not to say I'll never do it again of course!

On that note, if you are looking for sound and unbiased advice, in particular about affiliate marketing, a good place to start would be here, at 5 Star Affiliate Marketing Forums. The folks on this forum are helpful and knowledgeable and unlike many forums, the place is not loaded with members' affiliate links! You can save yourself a lot of time and money by visiting places like this.

Those are the two recommended pieces of reading for today - now, go off and do your homework!

Article Marketing - Is The Writing On The Wall?

The increase in article marketing is easily explained by the fact that it represents a win-win for everyone.

Authors get to spread their words of wisdom across the web for free, and create search engine friendly backlinks, often from directories with very good page ranks. Provided publishers follow the  rules, they will also have their own links in front of a lot more eyes.

Publishers get to grab free content from a choice of hundreds of directories to use on their blogs or websites without fear of copyright infringement or other problems further down the line. Great time saver for busy webmasters, and often great content that helps them grow their readership.

Article directory owners achieve good page rank and a lot of traffic from both Publishers and Authors, plus keyword soaked content for any keyword you care to imagine. What is more, far greater potential on the pay per click advertising and any other kind of advertising that they place at their sites . Furthermore they can build an op-in list extremely quickly from membership signups, a list to which they can market their own and affiliate products and services,

So, with all that going for the business that has become known as article marketing, all in the garden should be rosy right?

Well, you would think so - there are very few, if any, forms of marketing that deal an all round fair and beneficial hand like this, and yet, there are rumblings that all is not well in the article marketing arena. For anyone reading this, I'd like you to consider the following, no matter in which of the above mentioned groups you number yourself.

There is a disturbing trend among some of the higher ranked directories to start charging "membership" or "submission" fees to the very people who did all the work to put them where they are today. Without authors, directories would be nowhere. Yes, your service is valuable to the authors, no doubt about that, but it is their content that brings your traffic and therefore the potential for you to make money.

I know that with the introduction of article submission software, directories are dealing with higher numbers of articles than ever before (more of that in a moment) and that to a degree you are becoming victims of your own success but biting the hand that feeds smacks of greed and I for one will never submit to a directory that considers it has a right to charge me for my work. $10 for the privilege of giving you something that your site can't do without? Please. Don't tell me there are not other ways to control the  quantity and quality of submissions - you can ban constant offenders for example (maybe it burns to lose even one opt-in address though?). I hope you see the reasoning on the greed angle - money does not equal credibility or whatever other lame reasons people might give to defend it - if your hosting costs have increased because of increased bandwidth usage, that's a tough one. Like I say, victims of your own success. You can't pass that cost on to your suppliers, and at the very least your ethics are questionable if you try to do so.

So how about authors? Well, since people began to latch on to this good thing, article production has stepped up hugely but inevitably, quantity has far begun to outweigh quality, and many directories are unhappy about having to wade through illiterate dross from people purely interested in trying to make a fast buck. I sympathize with this, and say to anyone who wants to write content - it is not purely an exercise in keywords and the great god Google. If you submit useless and worthless drivel, nobody wins - your articles will  end on the cutting room floor where they belong. Burying the directories in poorly written, grammatically mangled, ill disguised ads, helps no-one. You are wasting your own time and everyone else's. And authors, take a stand against money grubbing directories by simply ignoring them and letting them fall alongside the dwindling page rank which is sure to follow - the one they believe gives them the right to stiff you.

And so to publishers - most of whom are honest and abide by the rules - but for those that don't, bear this in mind. You can pretty much edit article content any way you see fit, but by copying the content in the first place you have agreed to leave the author's resource box completely untouched - that means no disabling hyperlinks, changing the anchor text, or deleting any part of those few lines whatsoever. If you really have a problem with that, well, write your own damn content! I certainly urge all authors to report abuse of their rights whenever they see them. I appreciate that it's sometimes impossible because some publishers delete resource boxes and also any reference to the directory from which they have now "stolen" articles.

So wise up folks - the original idea still works and if it ain't broke don't fix it. Unless you all behave like grown adults and retain at least a little integrity, honesty, some good old fashioned values and show respect for your fellows in this game, your little cash cow will soon be on it's knees and you can crybaby all you like about it after it's too late.

How To Make Money Online

How To Make Money Online
by Andrew Daigle

TrumpTraffic
http://www.trumptraffic.com?r=64157

Copyright 2005 East Tech LLC

It seems everyone wants to know how to make money online these days. There are many programs that allow people to make money but there are many more that are setup to take all your money and disappear. The problem is trying to find the good ones and stay away from the bad ones, and reduce your odds of losing money.

The trick to making money online is not rocket science. It's quite simple actually. It all boils down to research, start small and diversification. You've heard about diversification a million times. The problem is that diversifying is very difficult for most people to do because they get too caught up in one program, or stock or whatever it may be. They see huge gains and think if they can make this much money with a small investment, they can make much more if they invested even more money. Then if their investment program fails, they're out 100% of their money. This happens time and time again and so many people don't learn from their mistakes. They rationalize that the current program is nothing like the failed program and they do it all over again.

You need to diversify with any investments you decide to pursue. One of the hottest things going today are programs called Paid Autosurf programs. There are a handful of reputable companies that pay nice returns to their members for browsing through their advertisers websites. This is such huge business that more and more large corporations are offering these programs as well.

As great paying programs come along then it's only natural that all the scam sites and thieves come out to take advantage of the opportunities. That's just the way it goes these days. You need to be very careful. Some of these great looking websites come across as being sincere and honest and they have only one objective. To get lots of members and one day close up shop, and take everyone's money. This happens every day.

That's why you need to research the programs you join, invest small and diversify across a few programs. So if one of them doesn't work out, you have the other programs picking up the slack as you replace the failing system. You also need to start small and build up your investment amount. If a program takes a minimum $4 investment, then invest about $20 to see how it goes. When you make a profit, reinvest until you're using your earnings to generate more income. Then you have nothing to lose. You're now using the company's money to generate a nice income. As you start to make more money, reinvest a portion and take some money out to pay yourself. That's it. If you do this with a few programs, you will maximize your earnings and minimize any losses.

The other thing to be careful of are mirror websites. These are sites that look exactly like a well know respected website, but have links that are designed to steal your information. As you type in your username and password, these scam sites steal your information, go into your real account and rip you off. You also need to protect your PC from viruses and spyware. Some of this spyware can be very nasty and steal all your login names and passwords. You should protect yourself regardless of joining these programs. If you do online banking or any sensitive business on your computer, you need to be very careful and protect yourself from these threats.

As with any investment, there is some level of risk. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose and always start small and build up your accounts as you earn money in the programs. If you follow these simple recommendations, you will do very well for yourself. Also, don't get attached to any one program. Even if one of the programs pays the best and seems like they will be around forever, please remember nothing lasts forever. Even the best run, well intentioned businesses can fail. Just remember to diversify and you'll be fine.

The One Thing All Marketers Need To Develop

I was sitting at this keyboard today after a night of some frustration over the whole internet marketing thing and it struck me that there is one essential ingredient you must develop if you are to have any success.

It has got nothing to do with niche marketing, article marketing, Google Adsense, safelists, traffic exchanges,  classified ads or most of the other things that people tell you you should be practicing.

I came to the conclusion that, first and foremost, what you need is a thick skin. I was thinking this after reading several things online yesterday which I'll share with you now.

It strikes me that by deciding to try and earn money online, a large part of the internet community will cast you into some "pariah's pool" where you are viewed as the lowest of the low for daring to try and break some of the every day chains, particularly financial ones, that you feel are restricting you. To have any kind of hope of making money online simply seems to offend a large number of people.

Yesterday I read an article by a supposed expert marketer in which he completely ridiculed virtually every method of traffic generation and advertising avenue open to the folks who don't have any money to spend. It was a very self promotional "look at me" piece of writing, which actually made the man who wrote it very dislikeable, so I suppose his methods of marketing work?

Following on from this I read a piece on Adsense by a chap who had consistently been shut down by Google for alleged breaches of their T.O.S. - if it's ever happened to you, you'll know that it usually comes just before the payout date of the first, and usually very hard won, $100. His point was not so much the fact of it happening, but the heavy handedness that goes with it and the complete refusal to explain what you are being accused of having done wrong. I know there are a lot of dishonest people doing whatever they can to grab a piece of the Adsense pie, but he had made sure he followed the rules, yet to this day, whatever the indiscretions, he never found out.

Sure, it would have been easy enough to set up a new account, and he did, with similar results each time until he started an Adwords campaign of his own, only to be banned again shortly afterwards. I've always thought just how easily an unscrupulous individual could get anybody's account closed down. Sure, that's unethical in the extreme, but I'm absolutely sure it happens and Google's stance makes it virtually impossible for the affected party to defend themselves. If it's decided that fraudulent clicks have been generated from your pages, you're out, no debate. I know that many people rely on contextual ads for income, my only advice would be not to put all of your eggs in one basket.

Moving along, I then read a comment at a torrent site regarding an e-book - the commenter had eloquently stated "otheerwise(sic) know (sic) as spam". I wondered how anyone, particularly someone at a torrent site who had obviously made a conscious choice to download a free file, could then have the audacity to cry "spam" - perhaps if one of his/her illegal music downloads had disappointed in some way, that would be spam too.

Then there are those in the blogging "community" who are up in arms about the latest "sponsored postings" and I wonder why they are so offended by people trying to make an honest buck. They seem insistent that anyone being paid to post on their own blog, should have to declare it to them, whoever they are. Self appointed internet policemen.....I have to wonder at their motives. If I read a blog post which is in effect an advertisement, I'm big enough and ugly enough to recognize it as such and it's my choice to disregard it, act on it or whatever else. Product endorsement has long been a lucrative sideline for sports stars, actors, TV "personalities" etc. etc. etc. but the view still seems to be that it is somehow "dirty" for an average person to do the same. That my dear readers, is hypocrisy and plain nonsense.

All I'm saying in this little rant is that you would be wise to develop that thick skin I mentioned. If you are one of many thousands struggling to better your lot through your online efforts, don't let the doubters and dream stealers (I saw that somewhere else the other day), get to you too much. Advertising is still not a crime, no matter who is doing it. If you've decided to seek your ticket on the internet, persevere and keep learning wherever you can, and when you prevail you may contentedly thumb your nose at the cynics!

Google Pay Per Click Adwords For Free.....Is It Possible?

Erm we doubt it, but the buzz surrounding this has been all over the internet in recent months and you may have wondered if it could possibly be true, probably had dollar signs sweeping across your vision at night, imagining all the possibilities. We would be failing in our duties if we didn't bring it to the attention of businesses and marketers everywhere!

Top first page rankings in Google, Yahoo, MSN or any search engine you care to name for absolutely any keyword you care to mention, without paying a single penny for the privilege. This is what is promised and if, like me, you believe in the old adage that, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, you won't be reading any further. But, on the other side of the coin, if you're a publisher or webmaster struggling to bring in Adsense revenue, or an advertiser, choking on pay per click rates that are rising way faster than inflation and your ability to keep up, you just have to be 100 per cent curious right?

Now, I know the attitude of wanting to look before you leap is common to so many of us and probably means that we will never be millionaires, always erring on the side of caution. Have you already devoured the advertising from top to bottom, more than once, but still end up sitting on the fence, something intangible holding you back? Do you wonder why because you know that the asking price for this potentially life changing information really is a drop in the ocean?

So no-one wants to be a sucker right? Google advertising free of charge for as long as I want, without doing anything illegal, without the mighty Google finding out? It seems an impossibly high hope and surely you're thinking to yourself, if I'm reading this right now, you can bet Google themselves have seen it and already paid the measly price to find out what exactly is going on. Well, you would think so wouldn't you? Then again, maybe they simply don't care in view of the limited number of people who possess the knowledge, perhaps it would be more expensive for them to try and solve the issue than to just let it slide- after all, they make billions in advertising revenue, so at the moment this is nothing more than an itch, and one they can't be  bothered to scratch. Just maybe, they figure that very few people will believe it's possible, therefore rendering it harmless in the overall scheme of things.......

We fall into the latter camp. If we had this kind of advertising power at our disposal, would we really be selling the idea for a few lousy bucks?  Folks, we don't have the answers, and, like us, if you want this information badly enough, you'll go and get it. Quite frankly, it is one of the most intriguing and astounding claims you'll read online this year.

Please note - if you decide to purchase, on your own head be it - we genuinely have no idea if the claims made are genuine - and, as is plainly obvious, we did not risk our own money to find out. If anybody out there can tell us more about this, we'd love to hear from you!

Starting A New Online Business For Beginners

A lot of people believe that making money online is difficult, if not virtually impossible. Then again, many would have you believe that it's as easy as taking candy from a baby!

The truth of the matter probably lies somewhere in between. If you are looking to make your first foray into earning money from the internet, remember that you will probably face a lot of disappointment before you see any results. If there are any "miracle" money makers they are few and far between, so you will have to resign yourself to some long hours and a steep learning curve.

If you are just setting out on your online adventure here are just a couple of the basics, things you will need to start your journey - all are essential if you are to achieve anything at all.

1) Your Own Domain Name This is your identity, your address on the massive global street that is the internet. Without an address no-one will ever find you, just as in 'real life'. Think hard about your domain, this is your stamp on the web, so choose a domain name that is relevant to your business and one that is easy to remember. You can buy as many names as you wish of course, dependent on the depth of your pockets.

2) A Hosting Company This is the place where your "virtual business" will reside and from where the world at large can access it. Poor hosting will cripple your online business, so choose wisely. It is easy to be seduced by the attention grabbing, low priced and highly hyped deals plastered across the web but you will find that you get what you pay for in the end.

3) A Business (A Product or Service) You may already have a clear idea of what you are going to sell online or you may be wondering just what you can possibly do. This is an important decision, but, even if you have no product/service of your own there are plenty of avenues open to you, selling for other people/companies for a start. We will be discussing all these things as the blog progresses.

Today, let's just deal with the first two issues. Firstly, your domain name. This can be pretty much whatever you choose, providing the name hasn't already been taken by somebody else. Once you've decided what you want, you can go shopping and there are plenty of places to go. Shop around because when it comes to registering a name, prices will vary enormously. Some offers will be conditional upon hosting the domain with a particular company, but don't be bullied into buying a hosting account you don't think suits your needs, just to get a cheap domain registration deal.

Secondly, your hosting provider. If you don't know much, or anything, about hosting, do some research online. If you're unsure about committing yourself, try and find other customers and get their feedback on service, features and reliability. A search for web hosting guides for beginners would be a good starting point.

Our recommendation when it comes to hosting is always Kiosk.ws for a number of reasons. Their service, support and reliability are second to none and it's always good to know that help is at hand should you need it. There is a very active users forum too, which can certainly benefit a new user. Unlike some hosts, they will not shut you down as soon as someone makes a spam complaint against your domain, unfounded or otherwise. Some of the internet's top marketers use their services, so,rest assured you are choosing a solid company. Customer care is excellent and their support really is live and 24/7 - most help desk tickets answered within an hour and a live hot conference support room that all members can access, manned by some great staff.

If you like what you see there, you can register your domain and have it set up on their servers in minutes and this applies equally if you already have a name and are looking for a new host. If you decide to use their services you will soon see why so many webmasters, both old hands and complete beginners, are prepared to give such glowing testimonials. You will have so many features available to you, including a huge library of scripts, all installable at the click of a button through Fantastico and your C-Panel. If that means nothing to you, believe me when I say, you will really appreciate the ease of use it provides.

What's more, you will have the option of making money with the company's excellent reseller and affiliate programs - so you could soon be recouping all your initial outlay, your monthly hosting fees and more! Why settle for less........?

If you like, you can go and try it all out with their excellent online demo which will show you exactly what will be at your disposal as a customer - just click here for the demo section

I think you'll agree that not many companies can top that and at the time of writing you can get your first month's hosting for a single dollar, no contract, no risk. Getting your domain and website set up couldn't be simpler.

Whatever your eventual choice, you will soon be ready to build your first site and opening your business to a whole new world of opportunity. Enjoy your adventure, but come back soon!

The Birth Of Another Blog in the Cayman Islands

Today has been a day of wading into technical issues surrounding this new blog, often times getting in way over my head!

The good news is that a lot of this work has gone into protecting both the site and its readers from nasty things like spam bots and the like. I  have to say that the Nucleus blog platform is enjoyable to work with and certainly allows for plenty of customization so if you're in the market for some nice blogging software, we are impressed and we think you will be too.

Comments are now subject to moderation, a fact of life with a blog of this nature - we don't mind your links to programs you may be promoting but we will consider each on its own merits and if we think you're abusing the blog as a free ad board we will edit accordingly.

The other accomplishment is that the Newsletter is open for subscriptions and we are giving away a very nice free gift to those of you who sign up. By joining you will receive a weekly email (probably) with the most recent blog updates and the occasional mail from admin. You will not be bombarded on a daily basis and your details will never be sold, shared etc etc. Unscubscribing is simply a case of coming back to this blog, entering your address in the box, check unsubscribe and hit the button - boom! If you don't start getting updates immediately please bear with us as we are still ironing out a few wrinkles with the format (wince!).

If you prefer to do things the modern way, we have provided easy RSS subscriptions in the sidebar - but you won't see the free software that way!

Ok, things to  look forward to in the days and weeks ahead - there will be a piece about traffic exchanges soon, the positives/negatives and do's and dont's. We will also be taking a peek inside the article marketing boom and what it can do for you, having a look at some of the latest viral marketing software and a whole host of other stuff - if you haven't yet grabbed Mike Filsaime's interview with Joel Thieren of Kiosk, be sure to scroll down and grab your free copy.

That's all for today, but thanks for reading and please check back often!

What Is Reseller Hosting?

A reseller is simply defined as someone who sells something, be it product or service, to an end user, and who makes a profit on such sales. In a nutshell, that is what Reseller hosting is. A reseller buys a Web hosting package from a hosting company and then tries to sell it independently. Usually the reseller's profit lies in either the discount or the commission they get for selling each hosting account.

You can also earn commissions from a hosting company, by referring customers to their services - basically through an affiliate plan. Sometimes a commission will take the form of a percentage paid once only, and at others, the reseller will be paid recurring monthly commissions for as long as the customer remains with the host. Usually the reseller needs to be a customer himself if he is to take advantage of such a plan. Some hosting companies even extend their terms to a multi level marketing plan whereby resellers earn money not only for customers they refer directly, but also for the customers of other resellers/affiliates who they recruit into the business. Our very own host offers just such a deal, and it can be very rewarding!

A high number of web hosting companies try to outsource their services to resellers as it helps them to extend their business reach without such high costs in respect of marketing and sales and enables them to focus more on the business aspects of their operation.

As a reseller, it is down to you just what services you sell - shared, dedicated or co-location web hosting, merchant hosting, store front accounts - the choices are pretty wide ranging. As a hosting reseller it is also wise to offer related services such as domain name registration. Read Full Article Related Posts

Network Marketing - A Few Thoughts

There are thousands of experts out there who will tell you how to succeed with network marketing. Some of them really do know what they’re talking about, even if their message is often delivered in that rather ‘consultant speak’ manner that makes so many of us cringe and shy away.

After many years of watching the rise and fall of ‘the next big thing’ here are a few observations for any would be online marketer to think about - more a case of how not to go about things, which, hopefully, might save some of us a lot of pain.

1) You get very little in this life for free - if only everyone would accept this simple truth, the network marketing arena would be a happier place. By free, I’m not just talking in monetary terms either. There is no doubt that the internet is still a place where you can find success with minimal initial outlay, but for the most part, the people who have had the greatest success are those who have put a lot of thought and/or effort into their business, along with some investment. You also have to add the downright dishonest folks, who are prepared to make a buck at anyone’s expense and have little or no conscience about what they do - trust me, there are plenty of them out there circling too!

2) A business means a product or a service - you cannot sell thin air to people, other than the downright stupid ones. When the next flash website catches your eye and promises you all the wealth your little heart desires, remember that they know what buttons to push to ignite your interest and talk has always been cheap. If nobody is expected to sell anything, there won’t be any money will there? So, on to the next step....
