Make Money Online - Trading Penny Stocks
A completely different slant on using the internet to make money today.
Before saying anything you should know this - you need to have some money to invest. it's high risk, you can make good money, you can lose your shirt. There, fair warning if you don't want to read any more.
I'll be brief, because much has been written about trading stock, in particular penny stocks, online and by far more qualified people than me.
If the idea of an exciting risky investment strategy appeals to you, trading penny stocks could be the adrenalin fix you are seeking. It's pretty simple to get started, but success or failure are equally possible results.
Firstly, penny stocks are usually defined as stocks trading at below $5 a share. Some people consider this arbitrary amount differently and would say that $2 would be a better yardstick, but, whatever the definition, these are shares usually traded outside of the major exchanges. They are often volatile and unpredictable and their performance is very difficult to monitor or foresee.
Trading stock online is not difficult, although I would recommend a lot of study before you get involved. Once you have a basic understanding of how it works and decide to give it a try, you will need an account with an online stockbroker.
For penny stock trading Lowtrades.com offer a very good service. To set up an account you will need to submit an application form by post. This can be downloaded in PDF format from their site. Once you have opened an account you will need to fund it (more details of how to do this are listed at the site too) and then, you are ready to trade.
In very simplistic terms you will place orders with your broker via the online trading interface and they will carry out your buying and selling instructions. Each trade you carry out, buying or selling, will cost you a small commission to the broker. With Lowtrades usually around $5. Full details are on the site once again.
The rewards can be tremendous - it is entirely possible to make hundreds of dollars in a day. As an example I bought stock on a recommendation on a Monday morning that made me over $600 before trading closed at the end of the day. Sounds great? Well, as long as you remember it could just have easily lost me that amount too.
Here's a look at another recent stock pick by way of example:-
The stock price was $5.40 when trading closed on Friday 25 January, the day it was recommended as a potentially good buy. An investor with $1000 available to buy could grab around 185 shares at this price.
The screenshot below shows the closing price on the following Monday 28 January - $5.98 For our $1000 dollar investment that's a $107 profit less commissions. OK, so, not brilliant, but you're in the black.

The following day, January 29 the stock continued to perform well, peaking at $6.49 and closing at $6.37.

Our investor therefore had potential profit of $201 had he or she sold all shares at the peak. If they've held onto the stock they still finish the day at $180 up. What will happen tomorrow? Well, that's the buzz of trading, you don't know for sure - you might be kicking yourself for selling and getting out too early, or you could be riding a bigger wave for a while.
As it turned out the stock price peaked at $7.22 and has since fallen back to around $6.44 on February 7 2008.
There is no minimum required to open a trading account with Lowtrade by the way. It stands to reason that the more you are prepared to invest - the larger the potential gains/losses. Still, whether it's 200, 2000 or 20000, a profit is a profit and our investor did pretty well, pretty quickly!
My advice is always this - never invest anything that you can't afford to lose. This is a gamble, and if you don't have the constitution for risking the purchase price, don't start with online trading of any kind. Temptation is a sneaky thing - when dollar signs are obscuring the clarity of your vision, sit back and have a good think about what you are planning to do.
Now, I will close by saying that just as in so many areas, there are plenty of hucksters involved in the penny stock markets, just as there always are in any area where there is money to be made. I would recommend you read up on some of the tricks that are often pulled by unscrupulous people who will use tactics like "pump and dump" where they will try to push up a stock's price with loads of unfounded hype and the dump their own holdings on unsuspecting traders. This is illegal of course but it does happen.
If you want to start trading penny stocks online, read up on the subject carefully and learn as much as you can. There are plenty of helpful websites such as AllPennyStocks.com where you can begin to learn.
I edited this post having initially mentioned a newsletter subscription sold via Clickbank. Some people swear by it and it has produced some good picks, but others believe that there are some problems with the site and its operators. I've now decided to stop promoting it due to the rising level of complaints, despite the fact that it has topped Clickbank's sales charts for some time. For a great range of stock trading publications and advice visit my Stock Trading Ebook and Software pages.
If you're new to trading stocks, I've given you a few cautionary tales but with due diligence and learning you can find the winners. I always think carefully before recommending risky ventures, but I've given you the information to start investigating. Where you go from there is entirely up to you :-)

More On Cloaking and Tracking Your Affiliate Links
Much has been said about the importance of securing affiliate links and there are various ways of going about it.
Although popular opinion agrees that it is, without doubt essential to disguise affiliate links if you want to maximize your conversion rates, there there are conflicting ideas about the best way to do it.
I'm going to give you what is in my opinion, the best way I have found to achieve secure affiliate links and show you, by way of demonstration, how it works in relation to various cloaking options. I'm going to look at just three options, and show you the benefits and pitfalls of each, using a popular affiliate program offering cheap caribbean vacations.
1) PHP redirects - the most obvious benefit of this method is that it's free and easy to use. Here's how it works:-
Our raw affiliate link looks like this:
http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2392857-10426292
It's pretty obvious and pretty ugly, and by using a php redirect we can turn it into something like this -
http://www.thecaymanhost.com/caribbean-vacations2/
This is simple to do. Create a new directory on your server, called whatever you like - in this case we have created a folder called "caribbean-vacations2". Then, create a file within that directory called "index.php" and use the following code
<?php header('Location: http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2392857-10426292'); ?>
There is no need for all those spaces between php and header - just one will do but my blog engine seems to want to put in those spaces!!
As you can see, we've used the original affiliate link in the code, and you would change this to your own link of course. Click on both links and you will see that they both now take you to the same place. However - and this is a big however - you will notice that once you get to the web page in question, the address bar in the browser will still show an ugly long affiliate link. So, PHP redirect works - but only up to a point!
2) Free cloaking services are plentiful and some are better than others. I'm going to illustrate with a new free service called ViralLinkTracker.com which is free and offers some pretty cool features.
Here is the cloaked link generated - quickly and easily from the members area -
http://www.virallinktracker.com/vlt/links/7570
The important thing to note here is the address bar in your browser - it still shows the link that your visitor clicked on. The program also offers a secure cookie option and the ability to promote the cloaking program itself if you so wish. On the face of it, as a free solution it's pretty good and definitely one of the best free services released in quite a while. However, it can't be ignored that the link still looks like an obviously cloaked affiliate link. Many savvy surfers will know this, and maybe go back to the website after clearing their cookies and just buy through their own affiliate link or just to ensure that they don't buy through an affiliate link at all!
3) Here is my solution of choice - an encrypted redirect which for this example looks like this -
http://www.thecaymanhost.com/caribbean-vacations/
Looks like the PHP option right? Yes, it does, but now, when you click on the link, you will see the important difference in the address bar - it shows the link exactly as clicked. I'm not a techie, but I achieve this using the excellent Web Army Knife program. This software is not free, but contains a collection of great marketing tools and I think it's worth the price for this encrypted cloaking tool alone.
I should also add, that even viewing the source code of the page won't do a snooper any good - try it and see for yourself. I've tried other cloakers in the past, but this one is still the best by far. If that changes anytime I'll update you here on the blog.
Whatever option you choose, there is really no excuse for leaving your affiliate links as naked as the day they were born any longer. If you do you are inviting the loss of commissions on a daily basis.

Make Money Online - PLR and Resell Rights (Part 2)
Following on from yesterday's post where I promised some great resources for getting started with PLR, MRR and RR products, below is a comprehensive list of places where you can find a whole truckload of free products.
Now, let me add that to obtain a lot of these you will have to opt-in to some mailing lists. Personally I don't have a problem with this but I would suggest using an email account specifically for the sign up process. Not all of the lists are a waste of time in any case, but, if you really don't want to hear from them ever again, you could always grab your free downloads and unsubscribe. I'm sure many people take this hit and run approach, but I prefer to see what each list has to offer. If they bombard me with sales pitches several times a day/week from day one, I'm inclined to unsubscribe, but I do stick with some of the good ones :-)
One more thing before I get to the resources. If you are planning to resell digital products online, you will need to set up a payment collection method and PayPal is probably the simplest and most secure.
To ensure people don't steal your downloads you also need to learn about keeping your products out of the reach of thieves! I use SmartDD, which in conjuction with PayPal ensures both security and imediate automated delivery for my customers. This will work with Ebay too and is easy to set up as it comes with full instructional videos. You'll need access to a MySQL database. The best part - it's completely free to try and you'll be able to use it to sell up to three different products. If you want to sell more, the full version will set you back a very worthwhile $67. For the automation and security it's a bargain. Grab your copy below and be sure to watch the video if you want to know why static download links are really no good for your business, whether you're selling via auction sites or any other online medium.
Secure Your Digital Download Pages With SmartDD.
As a cheaper option you could try the timesaving PayLock Generator for just $9.97 which will generate PayPal secure payment buttons on the fly and save you a lot of time.
If you're determined to avoid spending anything at all, I'm offering a free download of Instant Website Security which will give you, in video format, an easy to understand and implement set of measures to make it as difficult as possible for hackers to steal your digital downloads. Download it by clicking on the image below.
This is not as effective as the software mentioned above, but it will give you a better idea about the security problems you must take into account when offering digital downloads from your website.
OK, you now have several options regarding how you are going to protect the products you are going to sell. I'll stress the importance of this one more time, and highly recommend you use a product like SmartDD for security and total automation of your product delivery. Basically when a buyer clicks on your PayPal button, the software takes over and does everything for you, delivering your product to the customer immediately using a secure link, which, even if someone decides to post on a forum or share with their friends, won't do any good, thus keeping your money safe and sound and preventing people from finding your download links and grabbing what they want for free.
So, at last, let's move on to a few places where you can find some products to start selling. The following Joint Venture give aways are all current at the time of writing and offer a truckload of stuff to download.
You will find that some are for personal use only (i.e. you can't give them away or sell them to others) but many come with either Private Label rights, Resell Rights, or Master Resell Rights. These are the ones you will be able to offer for sale.
Aside from the give aways, which are only usually around for a limited time, the membership sites all offer free membership levels and plenty of inventory if you're just getting started. The choice to move up to a paid membership of any site and gain access to even more quality downloads is entirely your decision. There are plenty of these sites around but this list will give you a good start :-)
1) The MakeMoneyShop - Free Membership Site
2) List and Profits - Free Membership
3) Operation BlackBox - Free Membership
4) Resale Rights Kingdom - Free Membership
5) New Year's GiveAway - Joint Venture
6) Online Business2Riches - Free Membership
7) The Freedom Bullet - Huge GiveAway
8) One Price Ads - Free New Year GiveAway (Now Closed)
9) Massive Monthly GiveAway - Another Big GiveAway Site
10) PLR Wholesaler - Free Membership Site
11) 117.com - Huge Free GiveAway (Time Limited)
12) The GiveAway Code - Plenty Of Free Products
13) Give Away Guru - Free Membership
Those should keep you busy for a good while, even if you don't intend to resell one single thing, there aresome great marketing products, software and ebooks that will be helpful to you in your own online business. In the next post we'll try to cover a little bit more on promotion. At least, that's the plan :-)

Make Money Online - PLR and Resell Rights
Today I am returning to the make money online series with a look at selling digital products and software online. Despite the relative simplicity of the subject, many people think that it is either too difficult or too much hassle to get involved.
I have to say that this is a mistake, because it really is an effective and profitable undertaking for anyone who is prepared to put in the work. I'm going to break this down into a few areas and hopefully, it will inspire you to do some further reading on how to make money online by selling either your own digital products, or those created by others.
Before going any further, there are just a few basic things you are going to need.
1) A web hosting service - see my hosting directory for plenty of affordable choices.
2) A PayPal Account
3) A ClickBank Account
There, not too painful so far. If you already have all of these things you're pretty much good to go. There are plenty of payment processors available, but in the interests of keeping it simple, we'll stick with those for now.
So where do you begin? There are literally thousands of products available for you to choose from either as an affiliate or a reseller. As an affiliate, you can promote any of ClickBank's huge range of products, but competition is often fierce and many people find it difficult to make any real inroads. That's not to say you can't make money with their products but a lot will depend on how you choose your products and how you promote them to your target audience.
Selling your own products via ClickBank will be dealt with another time as I want to stay focused on helping you make money as quickly and simply as possible - utilizing other people's work!
The other alternative, and my preferred system, is to become a reseller. If you've never heard of Private Label Rights, Master Resell Rights and Resell Rights, I recommend you learn more about the subject, because they can be great revenue generators.
It's all beginning to sound a bit complicated? Well, don't worry, because it really isn't. The trick is, to find yourself some products that are offered with any of the aforementioned rights.
How the heck do you do that? Well, if you're prepared to keep reading, my next post is going to direct you to a huge repository of digital products and software, all of which you can get your hands on for free. I'm talking a momentous amount - something for everyone and we're not talking just poor quality ebooks either. Whatever your niche, you should find something worthy of your attention.
Finding a product that is likely to sell isn't really too difficult. I work on the basis that if it's something I want or need to help my online business grow, then there will be thousands of other people who are seeking the same thing. A product that fills such a need is likely to be popular with consumers. If something is slow to sell, try something else - there are no limits to what you can sell after all.
A great deal of resell and PLR products come with a ready made sales page. Provided you can edit a simple bit of HTML you will have no problem customizing it with your own details. It's then ready to be uploaded to your host, and you can promote it. The beauty is, that you can set your own price, and keep all of the profits yourself.
You might be thinking, that sounds too simple.....there must be more to it than that. Trust me, it isn't rocket science and if you're reasonably PC literate and are prepared to spend a little time setting up and promoting your products, you will make money :-) We'll explore promotion further in due course.
OK, to recap - deal with the three things you need to get started as set out above. Get ready for my next post which will help you find some products to sell. When you have downloaded the products of your choice, you will need to follow the instructions that come with each individual item in order to set up your personalized sales and order pages (I'll cover that in more detail so don't fret).
If you think you can't do this or are still baulking at spending a dime online to invest in your own success, then I concede it's not for you, but if you are looking for ways to earn money with only a minimal initial outlay, don't miss the upcoming posts.
For the die hard freebie seekers, I'll give you a couple of crumbs of comfort.......
You can get a free membership to this site and promote it to others - there are over 150 digital products available and you get to keep 50% of any sales you make as a free member or 100% if you decide to upgrade. Does it work? Well, it can do, and it's totally free and without risk. If you like that sort of thing, you might want to try it in lieu of doing things for yourself.
Another totally free alternative, and pretty unique, is the new Passive ProfitRobot. It makes some big promises but whether or not it will work for you can only be answered by giving it a try. Another risk free option that might well be worth a look.
If I've piqued your interst and you want to learn more about the mechanics of the ideas outlined above, subscribe and you won't miss the next posts, where I will show you exactly what to do next and how to start seeing "notification of payment received" in your PayPal account!

LeadsLeap - A New Traffic and List Building System
Having just posted about listbuilding, I thought I'd share another free traffic and leads generation system called LeadsLeap.com.If you have not yet heard about this service, you can register for a free LeadsLeap account while the program is in its infancy and take full advantage. Bookmark the page and go back on JANUARY 17 TO REGISTER.LeadsLeap is an ingenious system that combines the power of contextual advertising and network lead generation.
In this system, you are allowed to post ads to 10 levels of network you have built. However, unlike traditional network lead generation methods, LeadsLeap only allows members to post their ads in the form of contextual ad.
This means your leads do not receive obtrusive ads from their uplines, which is a good thing because no one likes to receive junk ads.
They also publish a very informative and useful newsletter.
This is a free service, although early respondents will have the opportunity of a paid membership if they choose.
Obviously at this stage, I can't comment on the effectiveness of the system as it is brand new, but I'm always open to new promotional ideas and thought on an initial look, this one was worth sharing.

Using Articles To Promote Your Blog
Article marketing has been hailed as one of the best free ways to build traffic and links to your chosen blog or website, and regular readers will already know that I'm a supporter of article marketing as a valid and effective method of promotion.
However, I'm also loudly critical of a great deal of people whose attempts are often little more than "spam" and this is one area where I'm certainly not alone. The following article by Stephanie Foster contains some important advice for anyone about to embark on an article marketing campaign and will ensure a greater chance of success for anyone who follows her advice.
What Makes an Article Marketable? by Stephanie Foster
Article marketing is one of the most popular ways to market a website. A well-written article can bring in a number of high quality links and attract traffic to your website.
So why do so many fail so miserably at it?
I run an article directory, and delete around 80-90% of the articles submitted to my site. Why? Because I can see no way anyone would want to read them. So today I would like to share some of the flaws I see most often. Many of these make it so easy to decline the article that I don't even have to read it first.
Problem 1: The entire article is one paragraph.
Sometimes these go on and on. Breaking an article up into short paragraphs makes it much more readable. It also means your ideas are much more clearly presented.
Don't assume that the information you are presenting is so wonderful that everyone will want to read it, despite your own poor skills at breaking it up into appropriate chunks. There are plenty of other wonderfully written articles out there that are well formatted too.
Problem 2: Blatant ads.
I don't mind if you cite genuine resources. But if the entire article is so clearly nothing more than an ad for your product or website, forget it.
The place for linking to your own site is within the resource box. I suggest one or two links, three if you absolutely must. Any links within the article itself should be quality references, not just links thrown in because you like the keywords.
Problem 3: Poor grammar, spelling, etc.
I don't mean occasional mistakes. I mean mistakes so obvious that I find them even in the title of the article.
I don't mind that people have English as a second language when they write articles. They speak more languages that I do, probably. But if you cannot write clearly enough in English to get your point across, your article won't be interesting to readers.
Problem 4: Miscategorized articles.
People who run article directories, as well as those who search them for articles, don't care to recategorize your articles for you. They're an annoyance and are prone to being deleted by article directory owners, or ignored by potential publishers. Take the extra few seconds and figure out the right placement.
Problem 5: Using all caps.
This is most often done in the title, but I occasionally see it in articles too. Typing in all capital letters may bring attention to what you're writing, but it also makes it just miserable to read. It is also often interpreted as shouting. Take the time to do it right. You want your quality to stand out, not your attachment to your Caps Lock key.
Problem 6: Writing too short an article.
I rarely look at articles under 400 words. Few writers can get solid information across in so small a space. If you go under 200 words it's almost certainly nothing more than an ad, and under 300 words is rarely more than a most superficial effort.
Publishers and readers want articles that teach them something they didn't know. Take the time to share some of your knowledge. You don't have to give away all the answers, but a few would be nice.
Problem 7: Multiple part articles.
Perhaps the biggest problem I have with this is that it is generally too hard to find the other parts of the article. They are typically separated in the directory, and authors rarely link to them in the resource box. That's not good for readers.
The other problem is simply that publishers don't like them that well. They want complete articles on their site.
Problem 8: Resource links not related to the article topic.
I see this most often when someone is trying to build links to casino websites. These are hard links to get, so they try writing on other topics. This may build links, but it's not the best experience for readers. Try to keep reasonably on topic. You'll improve your chances of getting interested visitors as well as links.
Problem 9. Excessive use of keywords.
Keyword titles. Overuse of keywords in the article text. Keyword link 1, keyword link 2, keyword link 3, keyword link 4, etc. in the resource box. It's not pretty.
It's also no fun to read. Your focus in article marketing should always be in making the best experience for readers. This is what interests publishers in sharing your article as well as brings readers to your site. If your article is hard to read, why should they visit your site.
Problem 10: Preformatting.
The days of people always wanting articles preformatted to 65 or even 55 characters per line are over. Many webmasters use articles on their websites or even send them in HTML formatted emails. They do not want or need the articles preformatted for them.
Certainly there are some advantages to sending plain text emails preformatted to 65 or so characters, as it's just easier to read. But it's no longer so standard. Let the webmasters handle it unless you're submitting to a place that asks for such formatting.
Problem 11: Posting multiple articles on identical topics at the same time.
I've seen people submit 5 and more articles on a single theme in a single day far too many times. I don't mean 5 articles on 'widgets', I mean 5 articles on 'blue widgets and their use in training dogs'.
I know article spinners and rewriters are out there. But even if you're doing it by hand, that's too many articles on a single topic for just one article directory. Spread them out at the very least. Better yet is to be more creative.
Obviously at this point I haven't covered every mistake I see people make in article marketing, but these are the most painfully obvious. Mistakes like these are generally so blatant that it is not even necessary to read the article before hitting 'delete'.
Stephanie Foster runs http://www.brightarticles.com/ as a free place to submit quality articles. Submit your articles to a site that considers the readers.

Free Marketing Downloads For Today
I mentioned in my last post that I would soon be launching a new marketing newsletter, but this has been delayed by a few days due to unforeseen laziness!
By way of compensation, I decided to give away a small selection of free stuff here on the blog instead. So, without further ado, here are the links to my first half a dozen little free bonuses for anyone who wants to grab them. They all open in a new window and they are all free - no need to register anywhere, just download/bookmark and enjoy.
5) Free Affiliate Link Cloaker
6) YouTube Video - How To Create Videos Step By Step
That's it for today, not the most exciting maybe, but I hope you'll find at least a couple of them useful. When the Newsletter finally launches there will be a lot more free marketing stuff on offer so watch out for its announcement, hopefully over the course of the next few days.

Free Pay Per Click Advertising Offers
Making money online relies almost entirely on getting traffic to you website. Pretty unoriginal huh? Like most oft repeated statements however, it is true.
The law of averages says that the more eyes you can get on your website, blog or landing pages and sales pages, the greater success you will have in making sales. The harsh fact is though, the majority of internet users are looking for information, they are not usually looking to buy things - which is not to say they won't end up buying, it just isn't their primary reason for searching the internet. I say the majority, because obviously some people do log on with the sole intention of findng a deal on something specific.
The other hard truth is that driving traffic to your place on the web is not nearly as easy as some would have you believe - at least not without the reach of a huge advertising budget. This is a luxury most bloggers certainly don't enjoy.
When it comes to targeted traffic Pay Per Click advertising is often hailed as the holy grail of online marketing. Is it worth it though? More precisely, is it worth it for you?
Well, there are plenty who claim to have achieved untold riches with a combination of PPC and affiliate programs for example. There is no doubt that some of those claims are true, but people are less willing to talk about failing with Pay Per Click (PPC) - and I'm willing to bet that these are far more commonplace.
Finding out need not be an expensive endeavor - in fact there are plenty of ways to try PPC without spending a cent. A little research will show that anyone can grab thousands of dollars worth of PPC advertising absolutely free. Sounds good right?
If you've never considered it before, or the thought of Google Adwords is too scary to contemplate, don't give up on the idea. There are many smaller PPC search engines who want your business, and they are happy to lure you into trying their services by giving you anything from $1 to $200 or more in free advertising, just for trying them out. This is a great thing for those with little or no budget and lets you start learning about PPC with no risk.
So, how do you get in on this potentially lucrative little number? Well, it's all very simple. The first thing to decide is what you want to advertise - be it your blog, an affiliate program, a lead capture page or a sales landing page. If it's an affiliate program just be sure that your intentions are not going to see you falling foul of their rules as some don't allow PPC advertising or are very particular about what you can and can't do as an affiliate.
Once you've covered that, decide on what keywords or phrases you want to rank for. It isn't rocket science and you don't need any expensive tools or software in this early stage of your PPC adventures.
You will find the keyword research tool at Keyworddiscovery.com reasonably good and you can use Google's External Keyword tool too. I also make use of a nice little piece of free software which you can read about at my earlier post on Niche Marketing Keyword Tools.
OK, armed with the phrases you want to rank highly for, it's time to go and grab some free trials. Remember, you can often bid from as low as $0.01 per keyword or phrase and this will often give you the top listing, so even if the search engine is only offering you $5 you'll still get 500 free visitors. Many offer a lot more, so you have every chance of getting seen by a lot of people.
Below is a list of just some of the search engines you can try - only one or two are affiliate links so don't be mean please. None of these require you to give up your credit card details or pay any kind of deposit. There are plenty that will match your deposits every time you make one, but, for the time being we'll concentrate on 100% free! Just visit the site, look for the signup link and follow the instructions to grab your free advertising.

OK, that's a lot of free traffic, but I'm sure you can find more. These offers often change in the blink of an eye, so get in quickly is my advice. Some of them may also disappear from view altogether after a while but some will stay the course. Free advertising is free advertising though, and it's never good to look a gift horse in the mouth :-)
I should also mention Bidvertiser who don't operate on a keyword based system. Advertisers select categories or specific sites on which to advertise and it does work pretty well. You can grab $20 worth of free advertising with Bidvertiser when you sign up, but you will have to register a payment method. You can also sign up as a publisher if you want to run their ads on your websites or blogs and that's free of course.

Making More Money Online In 2008 With The CaymanHost
I will start this post by wishing all my readers and blogging friends a happy, prosperous and healthy new year. 2008 seems to have come around quickly, but I hope you will continue to read and participate in my blog as so many of you have done in 2007.
I will be continuing the theme of how to make money online as the year progresses and I'm brimming over with ideas and free giveaways to help you make this a successful year for you.
If you haven't already subscribed, please feel free to do so - you can choose to follow my intelligent and educational (and modest) eulogizing via RSS or email and I really do have some good stuff in the pipeline.
The holiday season was hectic for both myself and my wife - she proudly notched up her second McCoy Prize win just prior to Christmas - this is an annual art competition with various categories and promotes and rewards excellence in Caymanian art. Nikki won the inaugural overall prize back in 2002 and was delighted to win the fine art category in 2007. This second win is quite an acheivement and her winning piece is currently on display at the Cayman Islands National Museum where it will become part of their permanent collection.
It looks as though we will be moving to a new apartment in the early part of the year, but hopefully disruption to services here at the Caymanhost will be minimal - at least that is the plan!!
I am also starting a new Newsletter with the idea of promoting many tools, tips and resources that won't be available here on the blog. If you would like to subscribe, I'll be publishing the details here in the next day or so. It won't be filling your inbox with countless messages, just the occasional offers and such. At most one email per week is the intention, although it might be less :-) There's a nice little freebie for signing up and if you decide it's not for you you can easily unsubscribe with one click whenever you choose.
OK, I need to issue another little plug for the free article directory - I really would like to see some quality content from anyone who wants to promote their business or blog. It's a general directory, so, no matter what you write about, we have a place for your work. You are free to submit anything as long as it's your own work - maybe an old blog post you're particularly proud of or something entirely new, it's entirely up to you, but please drop by. Your contributions are valued and you might even find something you want to publish on your own site(s) too.
Regular programming will return at the next post, so please get on board for the ride - 2008 is going to be a great year and a rewarding one too, so please stick around :-)
