06/11: Blogging Zoom First Submission Goes HOT

I mentioned BloggingZoom in a recent post and decided to add it to my growing list of membership sites. It’s not a place to spam your affiliate programs or self promote but it’s a good place to submit blog posts of others and give them a bit of exposure. With good friends you should find this reciprocated and thus gain some more visitors .

As I put my toe in the water only yesterday I was surprised to find that the post I submitted has gone "Hot" with 11 readers having voted it up. The post in question was something I came across on StumbleUpon entitled Is Your Blog Easy To Read?

It’s a fun little tool that others have been blogging about too

Here’s my score for this blog.....is that good or bad I wonder?

High school is a good score. It's actually bad to get a very high score like "genius" or "post-grad"; that means people won't understand what you wrote.

Yes, it is always best to keep your writing simple and to format it well, particularly on a blog. I could do better with the formatting, but I was surprised at my score as I'm known to waffle on a bit sometimes :-)

Don't be too glum, it's only a bit of fun and besides, as Lucia says, it's better to be easily readable, so yours is actually a good result. In theory your blog is easily readable and therefore accessible to a lot more people :-)

Seriously though, no, I think your writing style is fine and not difficult to read/understand at all. I think you can just be proud to display your rating as a "badge of honor"
