Welcome back, Mo!
Wow, so you were on dial-up the whole time? I considered getting a wireless card, but everyone I spoke to said all of them were slow. I hear Sprint has the fasted, but even that is nowhere close to cable. That may be old news though.
You really should start a newsletter. I just recently got serious with mine and I'm VERY happy with the results already.

Thanks Josh - no, I've not been on dialup, I had a broadband and wireless at my last place but the new broadband set up through Digicel is pretty impressive.
I have a 2meg line out and it literally is a case of collecting the box from the shop, taking it home, plugging it into the mains and then connecting it to the PC and bang, you're done. No setup required whatsoever. Unplug it and you can connect to any computer anywhere on the island and have a working connection - all for CI $40 monthly :-)
The newsletter is not a bust, just on the back burner for a spell while I finish work on a new ebook which is taking up a lot of time.
Glad to hear your own NL is doing well - if you want to drop a link here please do so.

02/03: Caymanhost Blog Update
It's been quiet here on the blog for the past week or so for several reasons, the main one being that I've been in the middle of a house move. Loss of internet access occurred about a week or so before the move.
The good news is that I have ousted my old provider and now have state of the art connectivity through a clever little box of tricks that requires no phone line. In actual fact it requres very little of anything - I can plug it into any desktop or laptop, anywhere on the island, and I have a working connection. That is pretty awesome when I think back to my early days online and the hassle and expense involved. The other bonus is that it's even cheaper and faster than my previous setup!! (I'm actually still waiting for my own box of tricks but a friendly neighbor has lent me his (thanks Steve!)
Anyway, enough excuses for my absence. I mentioned a few posts back that I was planning on launching a newsletter and probably spoke too soon, as I have had a rethink on the whole thing and probably won't go ahead with it for the time being due to other projects.
If you read this post a soon as it went up you will have noticed that it's been edited and I have removed the offer of a stock trading newsletter - it's a long story but I have decided not to go ahead with the original plan.
Hopefully, I will be back to a regular posting schedule and back to providing some useful information very soon!
