11/06: Instant Article Wizard Follow Up

This is a rather smug and self indulgent "told you so" but I couldn't resist it. Instant Article Wizard is a great tool but article directory editors beware. Here is a classic example of the software's ability to mangle in the hands of either a non-English speaker, or a less than able user.

I'm not quoting the source page which was a sales page reached via a Google ppc ad. My "child and loaded weapon" analogy is borne out by this "quality article" - I think you'll agree. Here is the quote in its entirety:-

Here's a sample article that I created quickly (in 10 minutes) with Instant Article Wizard Pro on a topic I knew nothing about!

Title: Laser Tattoo Removal

So you got a tattoo and regret it? The best way to remove tattoo permanently is Laser tattoo removal.

How does laser tattoo removal works anyway? The laser will help break up the ink that is imbedded in your skin so that it can be absorbed by your body.  Specifically, the laser removes the tattoos from the skin by rapidly pulsing a specific wavelength of light onto the skin area. The most common laser used is Q-Switched. Generally, it takes more than one laser treatment to remove the tattoo entirely.

To date there are more than 20,000 people received laser tattoo removal treatment each year. Most of them are happy with the results; some even reported that “my tattoo just doesn’t look right anymore!” Nevertheless, there are some risks too. For instance, some patience might observe allergic reaction when their tattoos were exposed to sunlight. These people might experience the same effects even after laser removal treatments!

Personally, I’ve experienced laser tattoo removal treatment. It feels like flicking an elastic band against your skin. Certainly some people will experience discomfort with the treatment, and that depends on the size of your tattoo. The bigger it is, the more intense you will feel.

Ok, you can understand it, but as for grammar, spelling, punctuation and flair, well, it's not the prose of Wordsworth is it? I love the exclamation mark at the end of the introductory line - yeah, look at me too! Ten minutes to produce such a measly word count, which hardly constitutes an article, is not much to brag about either. The irony is that the advertiser thinks to use this in an affiliate sales pitch; one that he or she is paying for too!

I will say again, that Instant Article Wizard is a great program, and well worth its price, but as you can see, you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
