Had to start this post on a happy note and say that this blog has moved on with Alexa and now ranks around 826,000. OK, so it's still low, but the upward progress continues and that's the most important thing.
The main Cayman Host pages are coming along nicely too and you'll see that there have been several additions since my last post including various articles dealing with web hosting, domain names, SEO, blogging for profit and so forth. There's also a new store for books and software geared towards webmasters and a new directory section for those in the UK. The plan is to expand the article content and reviews sections as time goes on so that in addition to the marketing focus on this blog, we will also be providing a nuts and bolts guide to getting the best deals for setting yourself up on the web.
As readers will note from the progress made so far on this blog, it has taken just a couple of months to reach a reasonable position in the major search engines and to start seeing regular traffic in the hundreds per day. I hope that this will inspire other bloggers and marketers to try some of the tactics we have covered already and to continue following our progress. Over the coming weeks we will be covering advertising revenue, and sponsored blog posting, plus how to make money with reviews and a whole lot more.
We are now looking for guest bloggers to contribute to these pages, obviously with experience of a marketing nature, and as mentioned in my earlier post, we would also like to hear from people about their web hosting experiences. You don't have to be a marketing 'guru', in fact we'd prefer that you aren't, but if you feel you have something to offer please contact us via the tab at the top of the page. All contributors will of course be credited and given relevant links back to their own sites. If you have something to say, we'd love to hear from you.
An update on my Wordpress issues with php.ini memory that I mentioned in my previous post was quickly resolved by my friends at Kiosk and full functionality was restored within 24 hours. More kudos and good karma for my hosting company :-) If you're looking for better hosting read the reviews here and at our main site.
