29/06: Text Link Ads For Bloggers

A while back I posted an item about Adsense alternatives for bloggers and webmasters, and recently I have been receiving a few updates in my mailbox from Text Link Ads which made me realize that I have been under utilizing their services since signing up some time ago. 

If you blog with Wordpress, you can now use a simple plugin and not only benefit from offering ads in the conventional manner on your pages, but also via your RSS feeds......

Now I'm well aware that there has been a row going on for some time between the pro and anti brigades regarding advertising via RSS but to my mind the road has already been far enough traveled and the inevitability of it seems not worth struggling against. Advertising in RSS feeds is here to stay, just as the internet was always going to evolve into a commercial arena, despite the Luddites who would have had it remain solely the province of geeks and intellectuals with nary a product endorsement in sight.

As advertising still remains one of the best avenues of revenue generation for bloggers of all levels, you should take a look at Text Link Ads. If you are a Google Adsense publisher you can still run their ads side by side, and if your Adsense earnings are not particularly great, why not add additional potential with a firm like Text Link Ads? 

If you want to run RSS ads, you will need to be hosting your own Wordpress blog, version 2.0 or higher. Other than that, requirements are reasonable for publishers and you can elect to accept or decline any ads sold for your site(s) before they are published. I like the idea of more control (something you don't get with Adsense and others) and judging by the growth of TLA in recent times, so do a lot of other publishers.
