10/05: The Birth Of Another Blog in the Cayman Islands

Today has been a day of wading into technical issues surrounding this new blog, often times getting in way over my head!

The good news is that a lot of this work has gone into protecting both the site and its readers from nasty things like spam bots and the like. I  have to say that the Nucleus blog platform is enjoyable to work with and certainly allows for plenty of customization so if you're in the market for some nice blogging software, we are impressed and we think you will be too.

Comments are now subject to moderation, a fact of life with a blog of this nature - we don't mind your links to programs you may be promoting but we will consider each on its own merits and if we think you're abusing the blog as a free ad board we will edit accordingly.

The other accomplishment is that the Newsletter is open for subscriptions and we are giving away a very nice free gift to those of you who sign up. By joining you will receive a weekly email (probably) with the most recent blog updates and the occasional mail from admin. You will not be bombarded on a daily basis and your details will never be sold, shared etc etc. Unscubscribing is simply a case of coming back to this blog, entering your address in the box, check unsubscribe and hit the button - boom! If you don't start getting updates immediately please bear with us as we are still ironing out a few wrinkles with the format (wince!).

If you prefer to do things the modern way, we have provided easy RSS subscriptions in the sidebar - but you won't see the free software that way!

Ok, things to  look forward to in the days and weeks ahead - there will be a piece about traffic exchanges soon, the positives/negatives and do's and dont's. We will also be taking a peek inside the article marketing boom and what it can do for you, having a look at some of the latest viral marketing software and a whole host of other stuff - if you haven't yet grabbed Mike Filsaime's interview with Joel Thieren of Kiosk, be sure to scroll down and grab your free copy.

That's all for today, but thanks for reading and please check back often!
