28/10: Your Blogging Window - Share It With The World

With all the Google Page Rank fuss recently it’s time to settle down again and also time for a little light relief. I hate working on Sundays (beach days) but the good lady is at the hair salon and I’m just waiting around to hit my spot under the coconut palms. So, sitting idly around, I came up with a little idea.

Bloggers come here from all over the world and I thought it would be cool if we could all look out on the views each of us enjoy when we are blogging. Does it inspire you or depress you or whatever!

Here’s how I hope it will work. I’ll kick things off with a picture of my usual view of the world when I’m blogging, the view from my blogging window that I'm looking at right now. All you need to do is make your own post with your own picture of your blogging window, leave your comment below with a link to your blog post in the comment field. If you’ve got anything else to add, that’s fine too. We can then follow each other around and look at our friends’ views from all over the planet. Peeping toms in reverse if you like :-)

It’s not a meme, participation is entirely voluntary, I hope a lot of folks will join in, it’s gotta be more interesting than looking at each other’s desktops. Plus, free backlinks are always nice right?

(Important - my blogging platform doesn’t allow for HTML in comments so please just leave the raw URL to your blogging window post)

You do know we had our first hard frost last night/ this morning? GRRRR!

Sorry Lucia, forgotten what that's like. My folks were complaining about it too.

This picture was genuinely taken this morning from the front porch. If it's any consolation I ended up cutting the lawn (it's a big yard) all afternoon in the 87 degree heat. Hopefully, that mitigates my gloating a little :-)

I'm actually hoping to see some snowy pictures........anyone?

Same here Lucia, I think were only a couple hours away so that sounds about right. I'm a weirdo, I'm tired of the summer and already tired of the winter, although it's not here yet. I'm never happy I suppose :)

Maurice, I think this is an excellent idea. Unfortunately, it's dark here and I don't have a "blogging window," per se, anyway. I have a busy street with a Gordmans and Borders on the other site. Not all that inspirational lol

I'll try really hard to remember this tomorrow and take part though.

P.S. I've been trying to talk my wife into a vacation to the Cayman Islands. Until our little man gets a little older it probably happen soon though.

Hey Josh,

Well, so far the response is pretty underwhelming LOL. Any view of your state would be new to me. Closest I ever got was listening to R. Dean Taylor singing "Indiana Wants Me" and that was a piece of time back!!

Cayman is a good destination if you want a Caribbean vacation with all the comforts of home. A lot of people say that it's expensive and I guess the current value of the US dollar makes it more so. Having said that, it's a beautiful island, particularly if you get off the beaten track and find yourself a beach all to yourself :-) and it needn't be too costly if you know where to look.

If you ever decide to visit, we'd be happy to hook up with y'all :-)

Oh so it's like my last contest then? haha

Drum roll please.... And here is the beautiful view I have the pleasure of seeing every day: http://ez-onlinemoney.com/i...

Beautiful isn't it lol

And I couldn't resist sharing my Bimmer as well. It is part of the view ya know:

It's my baby. It's just an 02, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Well, maybe a 2007 M3 :)

I'll definitely let you know when we decide to head your way, thanks.

Love your view. I am really envious. Currently I am looking at an indoor soccer field, but normally just look out the back of my house.
Here is a pic I took last January, which will be looking like that again real soon.

@Josh

Hey, it's not that bad LOL! I can now say I've seen a (very small) part of Indiana. Nice ride, too! We left a nice little Merc back in the old country, now I'm just waiting on a new (to me at least) truck......well, if funds allow!

@Adam,

Thanks. Not many first time visitors would have bothered. It looks a bit cold where you are, but there's something magical about the snow, even to a tired old cynic like me. Funny what a person can miss huh?

Thanks again guys for taking the time to post 'em, I may move them up to the post body if I don't get too many, which is looking likely!

"Hey, it's not that bad LOL! I can now say I've seen a (very small) part of Indiana."

Hopefully enough to keep you right where you are lol. I don't mean that in a bad way, Indiana just isn't the greatest place on earth, but my family is here so we'll probably stay put for now. We are considering a move back to Germany some day though.

Good family is a sound enough reason for any man to put down roots, don't matter much none where you are if you've got yourself good people :-)
