After singing the praises of my hosting company a short while back I got my just rewards today while working on the new site. I was trying to get a feed inserted on a particular page and it was all going to plan once I found the appropriate Wordpress plugin. However, despite following the instructions to a tee it refused to work, throwing back a "no valid XSLT processor found" error.
Now, if like me you would have thought, WTF? there was fortunately already an answer in the plugin developer's FAQ, but it necessitated a call to the host to get it sorted - I'd barely hit enter on the support ticket when I got a reply, confirming that they were pressing a few buttons and twirling a few knobs and that my problem would go away within 15 minutes. And, bless them, it did. The plugin in question is called Inline RSS from Iconophobia and is an excellent tool for easily getting RSS feeds into posts or pages within Wordpress if you're ever looking to do it.
As usual I've wandered off my intended subject again, which was really to say that although the site is far from finished it is now up and running if you'd care to take a look. I'm looking for honest reviews from users about hosting companies of which they've had experiences so if anyone wants to step up, please do. There is an email link for sending reviews on the main page.
Please let us know what you think of it so far! It needs a lot of fleshing out and we've partnered up with a cool supplier of technical gadgets and gizmos to break up the monotony of hosting and domains, which, let's be honest are not the most riveting of subjects no matter how important they might be
