Blogging For Beginners – Free Download

Blogging For Beginners is another free ebook for my visitors and, as the title suggests, covers the basics of starting out as a blogger.

The book covers both the free Blogger platform and the WordPress option, giving the newcomer a good idea of the differences, advantages and pitfalls of either choice. The book is a short and to the point read of 26 pages that does a good job of explaining many of the things that many of us simply take for granted, but for those just starting out, it will be a helpful read.

Blogging for Beginners 3 Blogging For Beginners Free EbookThere are no outlandish claims or rhetoric and the book is clearly laid out and isn’t consistently selling to the reader. There are actually very few links inside.

The only thing that is a little laborious is the section on installing WordPress on a hosting account – not incorrect, but it goes the manual route and doesn’t mention that there are simpler ways to do it, particularly if you choose a host who offers Fantastico which most decent providers using cpanel do nowadays.

That aside it’s a reasonable book for the beginner and it’s free to boot.

Remember, you can use the book as a giveaway on your own sites too either on its own or as part of a package of goodies etc. I have even provided a complete editable sales page with all the graphics so you can easily sell or give away the book using your own dedicated site or page. Unzip the file and everything can be found inside.

Good enough for being a free ebook. I have downloaded it for my sister. She is a little slow in this business of blogging and internet stuff. Regarding to the installation of wordpress, I am agree it can be very laborious. In reality, this is a simple process. However, it can be difficult for non-experienced users. Specially for those who does not have knowledge about programming and databases. The fantastico tool is great but in my case, the server contains an old version of WordPress.

Thanks for your comments Daniel. It is true that some hosts are a little slow to ensure that Fantastico installs the latest WordPress version, but once installed the upgrade nowadays is a very simple process.

I recommend Pagely for those who want a WordPress blog but are intimidated by anything remotely technical. The service takes care of pretty much everything for the user but there is still enough flexibility for them to then learn as they go.
