hostrocket11 Host Rocket Review

Host Rocket have been around since 1999 and although not as large as some of its obvious rivals they have proved to be an innovative and forward thinking hosting company.

With a technologically advanced data centre located in New York, Host Rocket are able to provide reliability and excellent uptime for their customers. As with any hosting company, owning their own data centre is a crucial ingredient on a host’s ability to respond to hardware problems and upgrades in a timely manner. Host Rocket are another company who have worked very hard to ensure high levels of service and support to their customer base. The data center has full independent generator backup and ups battery backup in case of power failures and offer a high level of security against outside attack. Overall, this is one important area that Host Rocket users can feel comfortable about.

There are many other benefits of hosting with Host Rocket of course. The shared hosting plans on offer provide quite substantial features for just $4.95 per month. For this they claim unlimited bandwidth (which as anyone knows is a marketing ploy more than anything as everything has a limit) and also provide over 100,000MB of storage. As expected they support PERL, PHP, MySQL (10 databases) and SSI. Basically a good package of features and plenty of extras such as unlimited email accounts, stats, 10 domains per account, unlimited sub-domains, a domain parking facility (max 10), PHP MyAdmin and 24/7 support, which by all accounts is responsive and helpful both by toll free phone number and online support ticketing system. There is also a live chat option accessible from the main website should potential customers wish to ask questions or need help deciding on which plan would best suit their requirements.

They also throw in freebies like $50 worth of Yahoo advertising credit and support the usual library of scripts (although some are rather outdated versions) so, basically pretty standard features we have come to expect from shared hosting accounts. They do not support C-Panel and Fantastico but use their own web based user control panel which existing users seem quite happy with. A quick preview can be seen below. From here you can manage all features of your account including billing and support.

Overall, the basic shared hosting plan is competitively priced and even more inexpensive if you are prepared to pay for two years in advance. There is a 14 day money back guarantee to protect you should you really decide they are not for you.

The company have proved that they can provide high levels of uptime for your website and are staffed by very competent technicians and whether you are new to hosting or have had some level of past experience, Host Rocket offer a good package for the money and would be considered one of the better options. If the lack of C-Panel is not an issue for you, Host Rocket could well be an excellent choice. There are of course several customer testimonials on site too.

For those needing more than shared hosting or interested in reselling, Host Rocket offer a range of three Reseller plans costing between $17.95 and $79.95 per month and can provide dedicated servers for those needing the power of an unshared server. They provide several options based on either AMD or Intel machines and prices start as low as $69.95 per month and C-Panel is available for another $29.95. Full details are available at Host Rocket’s website.

At the other end of the scale, Host Rocket can also provide free web hosting and for those who don’t want or need anything more, their free hosting package is one of the better options and is both ad and popup free. A good way for those just starting out to experience Host Rocket’s service maybe before moving on to a full hosting plan of their own. All details of the free service are also available from the main website.

Overall, Host Rocket would seem a good choice and will provide reliable and helpful value for money hosting solutions at all levels. Visit Host Rocket Here and find out more about all their plans and options.

Just wanted let you know that right now, HostRocket offers Shared hosting at the same price of Reseller – price being $ 5.99/month.
The features are identical (as I see it, they just copied the shared hosting page and renamed it reseller), and you can’t see “freebies like $50 worth of Yahoo advertising credit” anywhere.
Maybe I got on a fake page (but Mozilla Firefox warns you of that, usually) who tries to steal cards data, I don’t know, but the logo looks the same one you see in the image above.
I suggest you to check it out and see if it’s fake or they made this change.

    Hi Lucien,

You can get a reseller account for $5.99 subject to purchasing a 24 month package. Hope this clears that up.

  3. Lucien Says:

The same goes for the shared hosting: $ 5.99/month if you pay 24 months in advance.

Both reseller and shared are exactly the same thing, having no differences in features, price, best deal, etc.
