All WordPress users are aware that there is a veritable gaggle of plugins available to enhance your WordPress blogging experience. I decided that I’d publish the ones currently in use on this blog, along with links to the dedicated authors of WordPress plugins everywhere who make so much available to the community for free. If you find one you like, say thank you to the person who made it, and, if you can and they accept donations, help them out.

Of course, these are not necessarily THE best WP plugins, just the ones we use and think are great. I’m sure you all have your own favorites and if you think there is one we just shouldn’t be without, do please tell us.

WordPress Automated Upgrade Plugin – this one is new and promises to save a lot of people a lot of worry and heartache when it comes time to perform an upgrade to the latest version of WordPress. aLinks WordPress Plugin – another great idea that allows users to turn any word or phrase of your content into hyperlinks, they can be Amazon links, Clickbank, E-Bay, Wikipedia, links to other areas of your blog. Footnote – The CAPCC plugin mentioned above may conflict with WP’s forced moderation options if you are using latest version of WP (2.2) resulting in all comments bypassing moderation. You may want to consider an alternative captcha plugin in this case.
